079 - LetterMe

LetterMe is an app by my friend Ángel that turns messaging back into letter writing. You write a letter, you send it, and it takes real time to arrive based on how physically far apart you are. Someone in Asia writing to someone in Europe waits over a week. You watch the letter cross a world map. You don't even know who sent you a letter until you open it.

I've been using it with friends and it changed what I write about. When you can text every day, there's nothing to say. When the reply takes two weeks, you sit down and actually write something.
