Amore

Amore is a project that happened out of the frustration with Apple's App Store and how complex it was to self-publish apps outside the App Store.

The goal was to make exactly that process frictionless so whenever a developer comes up with a new app idea, distribution isn't one of their concerns.

In my blog post about the vision, I divided the project into 3 phases:

  1. Research and feedback
  2. Managing app updates and distribution
  3. Payments and licensing

At the time of writing this, I am done with the initial research and the updates and distribution part.

Amore automates the full pipeline from archiving your Mac app to delivering updates to users, so you can focus on building your product.

If you are a Mac developer I recommend you to look into it.
