049 - Don't Make Assumptions
»Don't make assumptions« sounds obvious. It's also the hardest thing to actually do. Most conflict comes from filling in gaps with guesses instead of asking. Your partner doesn't know what you want. Your silent friend isn't angry. Your boss meant something different. You get upset about things that never happened. The fix is boring and it works: ask more questions, over communicate, say what you actually want.
